Students from Franklin County Career and Technology Center (CareerTech) earned awards at the annual district DECA competition on December 18, 2014, at the Four Points Sheraton in Harrisburg.

DECA, an association made up of Marketing students, is a career and technical student organization designed to enhance specific career objectives in marketing, management, and business.  More than 150 students from Carlisle, Dauphin County, Dover, Berks Catholic, Franklin County, Littlestown, Northern and Reading high schools competed.

“DECA is a great, positive organization where we get to show our abilities through competing and demonstrating leadership skills. As a third year DECA student, I have seen all of us grow and succeed,” said Olivia Hawbecker, DECA Chapter President at CareerTech.
