An instructional program that prepares students to service or sell agriculture or agribusiness equipment and facilities.  This program includes instruction in maintaining outdoor power equipment, farm equipment, all terrain vehicles, lawn mowers and agriculture power units. Introduction into welding, hydraulics and machine work is also included. Activities will occur associated with the operation of a school-owned farm located adjacent to the school including operation of equipment, maintenance of equipment used on the farm and partnership with the Penn State Agricultural Extension Agency.

Program Requirements and Expectations

  • Students must wear blue work pants (Dickies) or properly fitting blue jeans, no baggy clothes permitted.
  • No sleeveless shirts or offensive t-shirts such as, Rebel flag, Big Johnson etc.,
  • Leather work shoes or boots must be worn every day, (no sneakers of any kind), steel toed shoes are not required.
  • Shorts are not allowed.
  • Each student must bring a 1 ½” three ring binder and a pen or pencil to school on the first day if possible.
  • Safety Glasses will be provided (one pair per semester).  Additional glasses will be $3.00 per pair. If the student wears prescription glasses, he or she must have plastic lenses and the student must install side shields which will be provided.
